Taking into account the current information registered in the Aquaculture Registration System (Su Ürünleri Kayıt Sistemi) and the risk examination to be made, aquaculture products cultivated in sea and inland water facilities, cages, and nets are accepted for insurance within the scope of the General Terms and Conditions and Tariff and Instructions.

Aquaculture

Except for diseases that existed before the start of the insurance, diseases that occur (parasitic, bacterial, microbial, viral and fungal) within the 14-day waiting period from the policy start date, it covers the losses caused by deaths and physical losses and directly incurred by the insured caused by of: 

  • All kinds of diseases, pollution, and poisoning beyond the control of the breeder, 
  • Storms, tornadoes, earthquakes, floods and inundation risks,
  • Accidents,
  • Predators,
  • Algae blooms,
  • Fish transfers between cages/ponds.

 

Optional Additional Risks and Aspects

Upon the insured's request, the following risks and elements may be added to the policy coverage, provided that an additional premium is charged according to the results of the assessment or risk review.

a) Theft

At the insured location specified in the policy; 

Direct damages to the insured aquaculture products, cages and nets (if cages and nets are included in the policy) at the location specified in the policy due to theft or attempted theft involves breaks-in by:

Breaking, drilling, breaking down, overturning, or forcing entry,

Climbing, diving, or passing through agility using tools, equipment, or physical ability,

Using the lost, stolen, wrongfully obtained original key, or by making a duplicate key or using other tools or password assistance to unlock,

Secretly entering, hiding, or closing in insured locations,

Killing or injuring other persons and by using force, violence and threats.

b) Terrorism, Strikes, Lockouts, Riots and Civil Commotions

Damage directly occurring to insured aquatic products, cages, and nets (if included in the policy) at the specified location due to terrorist acts specified the Anti-Terror Law No: 3713, sabotage arising from such acts, and interventions by authorized bodies to prevent and mitigate their effects.

Damage directly occurring to insured aquatic products, cages, and nets (if included in the policy) at the specified address due to events such as strikes, lockouts, riots, or civil commotions, and interventions by authorized bodies to prevent and mitigate their effects resulting in deaths and physical losses as specified in the policy.

c) Cages and Nets

Material damages to cages and nets due to below reasons are covered in accordance with the General Conditions and Tariff and Instructions.
